Odell Eagles Cheerleading (Fall Football Sideline/Competition Pop Warner Cheer 2024)
Our program is a great way for young athletes to learn basic and advanced cheerleading such as tumbling, stunting, dance, and cheer routines. We accept all experience levels and help them to excel to the best of their abilities. Our Fall Football Cheer program cheers on the sideline for our Odell Eagles Football program and is a Pop Warner affiliated program. Games will be on Saturdays at various fields in the Charlotte area with “home” games at Cox Mill High school.

Cheering with us gives the kids an opportunity to make lasting friendships and acquire many new skills. Practices will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings- you will be assigned one night of the week based on Coaching availability! Typically our “non-competing” teams.. Tiny Mite, Mitey Mite, and Jr. Pee Wee will practice on Thursday nights only and our older advancing/competitive teams will practice both nights.

We are looking for coaches for ALL ages and no cheer experience is required! We offer lots of help including video tutorials of cheers!

REGISTRATION FEES:
$285 due at the time of registration for all levels. Competition/Advancing teams (Pee Wee, JV, Varsity, etc) will also collect a $150 payment at the first practice that will purchase uniform, bow, and practice uniform that is theirs to keep. Early bird discount available for the month of May only! Coaches and assistant coaches will receive a discount in the form of a refund once the season begins!

Registration fee covers insurance, Pop Warner membership, competition and game day fees, coach supplies, music licensing, etc. Our younger, non-competitive squads will receive a loaned uniform for the season that will be returned. [All cheerleaders will need to provide their own white soft-soled cheer shoes.]

Tiny Mite 5, 6 & 7 8/1/16 – 7/31/19
Mitey Mite 7, 8 & 9 8/1/14 – 7/31/17
Jr. Peewee 8, 9, 10 & 11 8/1/12 – 7/31/16
Peewee 9, 10, 11 & 12 8/1/11 – 7/31/15
Jr. Varsity 10, 11, 12 & 13 8/1/10 – 7/31/14
Varsity 12, 13, 14, 15 & 16

SEASON:
August 1^st is the beginning of the season! Non-competing teams will cheer games through the end of October and attend/perform at a Local cheer competition in mid-October. Advancing/Competitive teams will contend for a bid to Mid-South Regionals in November, and a bid for Pop Warner Nationals in December.

ASSESSMENTS:
We will not do assessments, but your child will be placed on age/skill appropriate teams. This is not optional, and siblings may be on different teams, as the older teams require more skill and time. We are bound to specific birth date ranges via Pop Warner policies.

PRACTICE LOCATION:
Outdoors at Cox Mill Elementary School

GAME LOCATION:
Will vary by team once the season begins. Home games will be at Cox Mill Elementary and Away games will be at various Charlotte area locations. Some examples are Harrisburg Park, Mallard Creek High School, Audrey Kell High School, Revolution Park, Hough High School, etc.

FORMS:
You will be required to provide a 2024 Pop Warner Physical Form, a copy of the athlete’s Birth Certificate, academic records at the first week of practice. More information will be available via virtual parent meetings in July.
