Odell Rec Cheerleading (Winter Basketball Cheer Season 2023/2024)
Our program is great way for young athletes to learn basic and advanced cheerleading such as tumbling, stunting, dance, and cheer routines. We accept all experience levels and help them to excel to the best of their abilities. We cheer for the Odell Recreation Basketball teams. Games will be on Saturdays at various elementary and middle schools in our area. Cheering with us gives the kids opportunity to make lasting friendships and acquire many new skills. Practices will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings- you will be assigned one night of the week based on Coaching availability! A great way to guarantee practice night is to volunteer! We are looking for coaches for ALL ages and no cheer experience is required! We offer lots of help including video tutorials of cheers!

REGISTRATION FEES:
$150 for all divisions
The registration covers Cheer Uniform (to be returned to coach at the end of season), Poms, and a game day cheer bow. [All cheerleaders will need to provide their own white soft-soled cheer shoes.]

5 through 15

SEASON:
Early December through the end of February. Our season does not align entirely with the Odell Basketball schedule as our Fall Pop Warner teams are still competing at the Pop Warner Nationals in early December. There will be a cheer clinic prior to the school winter break and then weekly practices begin in January.

ASSESSMENTS:
We will not do assessments, but your child will be placed on age/skill appropriate teams. This is not optional, and siblings may be on different teams, as the older teams require more skill and time.

PRACTICE LOCATION:
Odell Elementary School

GAME LOCATION:
Will vary by team once the season begins. But you will follow a structure, typically the same time and location for the entire season.
